In the United States, according to the DOE, on-highway diesel fuel prices were $4.849 per gallon on 3/7/22, up $0.745 from a week earlier and $1.706 from a year earlier. This sharp increase in fuel costs ultimately gets passed on to shippers via fuel surcharges. Do you have a standard fuel surcharge program with your truckload carriers?
