In August 2025, we surveyed Indago members about the emerging role of AI agents in transportation management. A year later, as the technology continues to evolve and organizations move from experimentation toward deployment, we’re revisiting the topic to see what has changed.
Agentic AI has the potential to fundamentally reshape transportation management, not simply by assisting people with tasks, but by making decisions and taking action within defined boundaries. Important questions remain about where AI agents can deliver the greatest value, what level of autonomy is appropriate, and how to build trust in these systems.
